I've been sewing since I was a kid. In the 5th grade I took a sewing class in school and made a one piece shorts set out of aqua terry cloth. LOL. It wasn't bad and I actually was able to wear it. In 1986, as a senior in high school, I purchased my first sewing machine and set about trying to make sewn bunny rabbits. I made so many mistakes! There was no YouTube back then so I had to learn how to read a pattern just by trial and error and it was mostly error. In the late 90s a friend suggested we go to the Lancaster Quilt Show in Lancaster, PA. I thought it was a dumb idea, telling her, "they are just blankets - I don't want to make blankets." But of course after seeing all of those amazing quilts I was hooked. A few months before the pandemic started I began making zippered pouches and bags. Luckily by this point there were hundreds of online videos and I learned a tremendous amount from other sewists. It wasn't long before I was taking special orders from friends and here we are today.
